How to Submit

  1. Read the question above and think about your answer โ€” keep it to one or two sentences
  2. Film 3โ€“5 seconds on your phone โ€” face the camera and speak your answer, no script needed
  3. Hold your phone vertically (portrait mode)
  4. Keep it under 500MB โ€” standard phone video is fine as-is
  5. Check the consent box, hit upload, then tell your friends to add their answer

Submission Terms & License Agreement

1. Grant of License. By submitting a video clip ("Submission") to The FDT Project ("the Project"), you grant the Project and its operators a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, publicly perform, and display your Submission, in whole or in part, in any media format now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to film, video, streaming platforms, social media, broadcast, and promotional materials.

2. Ownership & Originality. You represent and warrant that (a) you are the sole creator and owner of the Submission or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions; (b) the Submission does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; (c) you have obtained consent from any identifiable individuals appearing in the Submission; and (d) the Submission does not depict minors without verified parental consent.

3. Age Requirement. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Submissions from individuals under 18 are not accepted.

4. Content Standards. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, or that violates any applicable law or regulation. The Project reserves the right to reject, remove, or decline to use any Submission at its sole discretion, without obligation or explanation.

5. No Compensation. You acknowledge that you will not receive any monetary compensation, royalties, or other remuneration for your Submission or the Project's use thereof.

6. Disclaimer of Liability. The Project and its operators are not responsible or liable for the content of any individual submission, the views or opinions expressed therein, or any consequences arising from the publication of such content. Submissions do not represent the views of the Project or its operators.

7. Political Disclaimer. This project is an independent creative and political expression effort. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any political party, campaign committee, or government entity. Submissions are shared as individual expressions of free speech.

8. Privacy. Any personal information you provide (name, city, state) is collected voluntarily and used solely for credit and attribution purposes within the film. It will not be sold or shared with third parties.

9. Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon.

10. Acceptance. By checking the consent box and submitting your clip, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
